Redwood City, California - MONTH / YEAR - U & I Software announced the release of a new generation of ArtMatic Voyager, its 3D landscape software for MacOS created by Eric Wenger inventor of
Bryce 3D.
INTRODUCING ARTMATIC VOYAGER 1.6
ArtMatic Voyager 1.6 is a major update to U&I Software's landscape-generation software. Version 1.6 is universal binary and multi-processor aware. New in this version are architectural elements and simple vegetation that make a vast new range of stunning scenes possible. The rendering engine has been optimized to reduce rendering times by more than a factor of 10 in many cases.
KEY NEW FEATURES
* Universal binary and quad-processor enabled for massively improved rendering speed.
* Maximum image size has been increased to over 10,000 pixels square.
* New Sublime render quality - the new sublime mode improves on the already stunning render quality.
* Architectural and vegetation features now possible via ArtMatic worlds and combination mode.
* New texture and reflections options.
* Many more additional new features and optimizations.
ABOUT ARTMATIC VOYAGER
The software from Eric Wenger, father of Bryce, allows artists to create, explore and render stunning, photo-realistic 3D worlds with exquisite detail. It uses non-polygonal rendering techniques that allow huge worlds (several times larger than Earth) to be created from compact files. ArtMatic Voyager worlds can be based on either the built-in planet models or external ArtMatic files. ArtMatic Pro (available separately or as a bundle companion) can be used to design entirely new terrains, color textures, cloudscapes and backdrops.
The simple, modeless user interface makes exploration and design both easy and fun. ArtMatic Voyager can render both high-resolution images and animation. The large library of provided examples makes it easy to begin exploring right away, and the advanced tutorials provide instruction on using ArtMatic Pro to design new worlds from scratch.
